Treat Yourself, Equestrian Style

Spring has sprung, and that means spring and summer styles are hot off the press. After a long winter…whether that involved braving rain and snow or sprinting the ridiculously long distance between the barns and rings at Thermal, you deserve a little treat before settling in for the summer show season (and your horse might want one too). Hell, who are we kidding? We just want a good excuse to treat ourselves.

We rounded up a few of our most lusted after luxe pieces that are well worth the splurge, plus threw in some indulgent treats for your well deserving equine partner.

  1. Equiline Gioia Show Coat in black – $964.95, Exceptional Equestrian

This slim cut, stretchy, moisture wicking coat is made from Equiline’s ‘X-cool’ fabric, which keeps you cool even on the hottest days and is even water resistant (in case you get caught in a freak storm in the ring). It’s as functional as it is comfortable. But the best part? The collar and half belt are embellished with chic chunky self-color crystals. It’s very extra, in the classiest way possible.

2. Cavalleria Toscana Women’s Compression Breeches in white – $432.00, Equ Lifestyle Boutique

We already love all things Cavalleria Toscana. The cuts are ridiculously flattering and the fabrics top notch; their lines are luxe, luxe, luxe. These compression competition breeches are no different. With boots on, they’ll look just like the nicest damn pair of show breeches you own. But from the knee down, they feature compression technology that increases blood flow, prevents cramping, and helps muscle recovery throughout the entire leg. They come in tan and white, perfect to keep your athletic performance on point in any class (or just keep your feet from falling asleep in your boots in the equitation).

3. Kask Star Lady Swarovski Carpet Helmet in Navy – $1,449.95, Equ Lifestyle Boutique

If you don’t like to stand out in a crowd, this may not be the helmet for you. The Star Lady helmet has an extra wide brim to keep your precious face out of the sun when the traditions of show apparel prevent us from wearing enormous visors literally at all times. Besides the stellar safety features and comfy fit, this helmet seriously shines (see what we did there?) with genuine Swarovski crystal fabric across the front and back of the helmet. Go for the matte navy blue version with tone on tone crystals for the biggest impact.

4. Probios Digestion Support Horse Treats – $10.95, SmartPak Equine

Okay, okay…so this one might not be a splurge, but your horse sure will appreciate the purchase. Take your treats up a notch with these probiotic infused munchies to keep your four legged friend happy and, most importantly, healthy.

5. Margarita & Lime Gourmet Horse Treats – $12.99, Snaks 5th Avenchew

As long as you’re treating your pony, might as well make it fancy. If your horse seems to be a little jealous of your post ride glass of wine, give him his own celebratory cocktail with these super fun margarita horse cookies.

6. Cavalleria Toscana Jersey Nylon Hooded Jacket – $450.00, Equ Lifestyle Boutique

Is it possible to coverup in a more stylish way than this made-in-Tuscany buttery soft cream and white light jacket? Possibly, but who cares. This spring jacket is sporty chic and perfect to throw on over a show shirt or wear around the barn. It’s windproof, water repellant, and washable – plus way more luxurious than your usual sweatshirt.

7. Asmar Leather Crocodile Belt in cognac with gold – $168.00, Asmar Equestrian

Indulge in the details and take your belt game up a level. Functional, yes. Gorgeous? Very much so. The rich textured leather stays comfy (and keeps your breeches up) all show day long and the gold horseshoe inspired buckle adds a little extra sparkle for your fancy self.
